Marilyn Lampron

Marilyn Louise Lampron, wife of Richard C. Lampron, Sr. of East Street, died peacefully at her home on July 31, 2014. Marilyn attended Dalton schools and was a graduate of Wahconah Regional High School and our Lady of the Elms College. She began her teaching career at Lenox Elementary School where she met Dick whom she married June 20, 1970, at St. Agnes Church in Dalton. After having two children, she returned to teaching several years later at Sacred Heart School in Pittsfield. After Marilyn's retirement from Sacred Heart, she spent vacation time at the Cape every summer with Dick where she enjoyed the beach, seafood, and shopping. She loved her swimming pool, reading, knitting intricately designed sweaters, and was an avid fan of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She looked forward to holidays and parties with her family and, when her mother was alive, Marilyn enjoyed trips to the beach and shopping sprees with her, her sister, and god-daughter. Her family was always a top priority and they have many fond memories of the times spent together and her great sense of humor. Besides Marilyn's husband, Richard, she leaves her son, Richard, Jr., and daughter Annemarie; her sister, Kathi Stowers and husband, Clint of Dalton; her nephew, Mike Stowers of North Adams; her niece and god-daughter, Kim Parker, and her great-niece Kaycie, and great-nephews, Ryan and Brady Parker, all of Dalton. She also leaves her aunts and uncle, Claire Mooney of Lenox, and Everett and Helen Calkins of Florida, and several cousins. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Gus and Gladys Daigle of Dalton. Marilyn had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Pittsfield, St. Ann's in Lenox, and St. Vincent de Paul in Lenox Dale. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Mrs. Marilyn L. Lampron of Lenox will be Monday, Aug. 4, at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox from 9 to 10 a.m. The funeral will be Monday at 10 from the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Vincent de Paul Church concelebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor, and the Rev. James Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
