Sheila Clare Carey

July 13, 1926 - July 13, 2015

Sheila Clare Carey, 89 of Laurel Street, died Monday at Laurel Lake Center for Rehab.Born in New York, NY, the daughter of William and Catherine Broderick Moloney. She attended and graduated from St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School in the Bronx in 1944. Mrs. Carey had been employed as a managerial assistant at England Brothers and later retired from the American Red Cross several years ago. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church and she loved sewing, gardening, and reading. Her husband, Robert J. Carey, whom she married June 13, 1959 in Lakeville, CT, died October 24, 2011. Mrs. Carey is survived by her two nephews, William J. Moloney and his wife, Sharon, and their two sons, William and Michael; and Robert J. Moloney, all of NY. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother, William G. Moloney and sister, Mary Moloney. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Sheila Clare Carey who died July 13, 2015 will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church, on July 23, 2015 at 1pm by the Rev. Fr. John Adamski. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Ann's Church, in care of the funeral home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
