Lenox- Norman F. Linstead, 90, of Lenox died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Berkshire Place after a long illness. He served his country as a Merchant Marine during World War II and made his career as a draftsman and computer programmer at G.E. in Pittsfield. Norman is survived by his long-time companion, Jean Stemple, of Lenox and three daughters: Terrell F. Poeton and her husband Richard of Bennington, VT., Laurie Linstead and her husband Peter Herrett of Greenfield, MA, and Dana Mcguirt and her husband Tony of Becket, MA. His wife, Phyllis Linstead, predeceased him in 1991. A memorial gathering will be planned for next month. There will be no calling hours. The family wishes to thank the staff at Berkshire Place for their many years of compassionate care.
